To get more than 176 horsepower, what injectors are required? What ECU changes? |
Back |
|
We have not yet tested our system with a new computer, so we dont have any numbers. We have run the car with larger injectors and noticed an increase in horsepower but again we didnt dyno it with larger injectors. |

Will the stock clutch and transmission work? Will a turbo tranny be needed? |
Back |
|
It depends on your application. We used a stock tranny, clutch and rear end on ours and it worked great. Then we decided to race it at the track and drive it real hard so we upgraded to a turbo tranny. |

Why should i buy this kit? Wouldnt a TII engine and driveline swap give me the same performance and cost? |
Back |
|
You wouldn't make the same horse power at full rpm range and a supercharger is cheaper. In order to make a turbo run on a N/A car you would need the following:
Turbo Long Block
|
800.00 - 1000.00 (junkyard used) |
Series 4-5 Turbo |
250.00 - 300.00 (used) |
Turbo ECU & Harness |
450.00 - 600.00 (used) |
Intercooler |
100.00 - 200.00 (used) |
Turbo Exhaust |
789.00 RB (new) |
Turbo Manifold |
50.00 (used) |
Flywheel & Clutch |
485.00 (new) |
Transmission |
500.00 (used) |
Driveline |
350.00 (custom new) |
|
|
Total |
3774.00 - 4274.00 |
|
|
Please note that all the parts listed above for the turbo application are at a used price, whereas our Supercharger Kit would have all new parts and our supercharger has a warranty. |

Why does my motor ping or spark knock after installing the EFI supercharger system? |
Back |

The is happening because you may not getting enough fuel or the fuel octane is too low, also you may have your timing advanced to far. |

What is the correct idle speed? |

What is the optimal fuel enrichment setting? |
Back |
|
We suggest that you add an air fuel meter to your vehicle. For carbureted and fuel injection forced inductions sytems 13.5 is optimal. Running your system slightly richer will work as well. Under acceleration the meter will show lean and then even out. So running the meter slightly above the focal point will work just fine. |

Take a look here to find out how to install a TPS LED diagnostic in order to adjust your tps. It is also possible that you may need to advance your timing slightly. |
